In labs, DTI provides equipment and network design certification for several vendors’ routers, CMTSs, softswitches and CPE. In addition, we perform interoperability testing between combinations of CMTSs, softswitches and eMTAs to assure feature and quality consistency for voice services, including services in recently acquired markets where the installed base of equipment differs from what is used in the rest of the network.
DTI also provides subject matter expertise for the automation of certification testing for large numbers of end-point devices and their many generations of code. For example, we provide DOCSIS expertise in the automation of certification testing of code upgrades of MTAs, eMTAs, STBs and other CPE.
Based on our extensive experience with lab testing projects, DTI also offers consulting services in the design, deployment and operation of labs themselves.
DTI’s added value in labs leverages our expertise and experience in production environments including headends, hubs, NOCs, national backbones and regional backbones. We understand the need for thoroughness and rigor in labs and their importance in assuring robustness in production sites.
