DTI Engineer Ron Brunt Named SCTE Member of the Year

June 20, 2007, Orlando, FL—The Society of Cable and Telecommunications Engineers today named DTI engineer Ron Brunt the SCTE Member of the Year.
This prestigious award recognizes the member who significantly contributed to the Society over the past year. In addition to winning this prestigious industry award for himself, Ron led the SCTE West Virginia Mountaineering Chapter, of which he is president, to win three Chapter Awards: Most Improved Chapter, Chapter with Most Improved Recruiting, and 5th placing Chapter of the Year.
The strengths that led Ron and his chapter to win these awards include Ron’s exceptional abilities to forge teamwork, infuse enthusiasm, and see things from other people’s perspectives, while maintaining the intense focus needed to organize both complex and sensitive situations. In assessing Ron’s contributions to the industry as well as to the society, the SCTE noted that as a DTI Field Engineer, Ron demonstrates these same strengths as he documents newly acquired sites and consults on their remediation, upgrade and expansion. This year will long be remembered for one of the largest and most complex shifts of headend and hub facilities, and thereby subscriber bases, in cable industry history. DTI is proud to be playing a major role in this industry transformation by providing a wide range of engineering and deployment expertise to both MSOs and their major equipment vendors. DTI is doubly proud that while supporting customers in this exceptional challenge, Ron also provided outstanding leadership to the SCTE.
